CHOIR !!!!

I GOT INTO CONCERT CHOIR TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I passed the sight-reading audition, even though it wasn't official, just a class warm-up he wanted to let someone do... And my written test score is 96%. So Mr. Abrams said I made it into concert choir! Apparently he discussed it with concert choir and told Women's Ensemble. HAHAHAHA YAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Abrams said there may be one spot for a sophomore guy to be in Chambers. :'( So either Justin Riele gets in after he shapes up, or he stays a little jerk and doesn't get it. He has a better than voice than me, and I can accept that - I would be fine with it, except he's a little kiss-up and he brags about everything. "Oh, is this song in the A-minor-second position?" "So if we make a 5th interval up to an F and then hold it for three beats..." (He NEVER shuts up about how much he knows about music. He's been playing piano for 9 years.) He's a jerk to people who aren't considered cool, but he doesn't pay attention in choir and ends up singing my part because he doesn't know his well enough to stay in it (there's one song - "Go Tell It On the Mountain" - that I sing melody the whole way through.) Parts of it I sing 2nd tenor, some parts I sing 1st tenor. He's a second tenor. So when I switch up to 1st tenor, he does too. Then Robert has to hit him to get him to switch back. ... But other than that he's made everyone lose points one day because he was so bad.  There are also other examples, but I'm already ranting. I don't want this to be a SUPER-rant. Anyway, Mr. A I think is starting to get annoyed with him, but at times he acts like Justin is his favorite. Which annoys me soooo bad. Partly because I'm jealous, yeah. But also because of the way he treats other people. Bleh.

In other news... I asked Cailin (homecoming date) out on Friday. I had a rose, and she said yes, although I knew she would, since she has a crush on me. So yeah. =D When she told Nisha she FREAKED.

In other other news... I volunteered at the Elf Workshop yesterday, and I did the facepainting. Meredith, Lauren, Jade, and Breanna were there. Here's the aftermath...

I have a weird funky-looking snowflake on the other hand, but yeah. I drew the tree and reindeer on myself! Meredith did the I love cailin thing. I let her though. XD

Stupid choir guys...

I'm pissed! Mens Ensemble got asked by the principal to perform Mighty Mouse at the next faculty meeting! THE PRINCIPAL! THE ENTIRE FACULTY! MIGHTY MOUSE!!!!!! and. we. won't. !!!!!!! Am I the ONLY person who likes to perform? When Mr. Abrams told us, I said "YEAH!" and at least half of the class went "Nah, do we have to? I don't want to sing for them." NAH, DO WE HAVE TO!?!?!?!?????? WHY THE HELL ARE THEY IN CHOIR!?! They don't get excited about singing? HUH!?!?!? Am I alone here!???? Well, no... there's Chandler, I guess. I didn't hear him say anything though. GAH! Oh well. (To self: calm down... deep breath, come on, calm down...) Okay! I'm good now. Still a little pissed. However, the Chamber Singers get to perform for them. I'll focus on being happy for them. ...

Mr. Abrams said about three weeks ago that there were three guys in Mens who he thinks might be able to do Chambers next year.♫♪ I pray that one of them is me. And not to be egotistical, but it probably is. I only think that because ALL of my choir friends think it's me. =D =D

All students have to start in either Mens Ensemble or Womens Ensemble. Then, you can get promoted to Concert Choir. Although for girls, they go from Womens Ensemble to Treble Clef. If they get promoted to Concert Choir while in their sophomore or junior year (most during junior), they still have to have Treble Clef. Anyway, for the guys, there is no intermediate step like Treble Clef. You just get to go to Concert Choir (if he promotes you). CHAMBER SINGERS is an elite group of people in Concert Choir, and consists mainly of seniors. There are the select few who get into Chambers as juniors and sophomores, although I don't think there's ever been a sophomore girl in Chambers. Moving on, out of Concert Choir, there is the JaZz EnSeMbLe!! Jazz Ensemble are the elite of the elite. There are only 8 people in Jazz, 4 guys and 4 girls, 2 on each part (i.e. 2 Sopranos, 2 Altos, 2 Tenors, and 2 Bass'). It is almost exclusively seniors. I know of one junior who has been in Jazz. SOOOOO... Although most every guy gets promoted to Concert Choir if they don't sound like a dead cat and don't slack off too much, I hope to be one of the few who goes into CHAMBERS as a sophomore! If I DO get in, I'll have to be killed by my other choir friends. <(O.O)> Then I pray to be in Jazz as a senior. Being in Jazz as a junior is pushing it. Being in Jazz as a sophomore is, I'm sure, impossible. But yeah. Understand all that? Oh, and one last side note: Jazz isn't a class. They meet during lunch, on some nights, and sometimes weekends. ♫♪

Ever After

Thursday and Friday were the choir's dinner show... Ever After! It's like a full-on musical with a storyline and scripts and everything. It was fun! I was MIGHTY MOUSE! Once I get some good pictures/videos I'll post them. =D
